My words of the year is Greet. I am trying to be mindful of that as I start this year. I tend to be shy and sometimes it is hard to Greet. A challenge to me, for sure.
And my saint is St Frances Xavier Cabrini. She and I already have a special relationship. I ask for her intercession often, so that will be a breeze this year.
I have family members furloughed and some working without pay. The news today made me feel bad in the pit of my stomach. Are they expected to work for months or years without pay? And what about the furloughed, will they recieve pay when they are called back for the time they were off? That is a bad deal for America, but they have mortgages and bills and this political thing isn't their fault.
I hate to be political, I really do. But, today the news really makes me hurt and worry. So, St Frances Cabrini, intercede for me and help this mess to get straightened out so that good people won't suffer.
