My mom turned 92 last Saturday. It has been a long long life. She got a good report from her doctor the day before. My mom mentioned that she would like straight hair more like my sister next to her than the old lady hair that her hairdresser had done. So, if I were clever with Photoshop I would take my sister's hair and move it to my mom, just for fun. But, I am not, so use your imagination.
My mom has been retired now more years than she worked. In her retirement she traveled and painted and volunteered. She dreads becoming helpless in old age. Don't we all?
So, the secret to long life? I am not sure, good genes perhaps. Take care of yourself, my mom would say. But, however you get there, the secret to the blessings of old age is to appreciate the blessings you have received.
