1. Lent is Over! As I was driving home from Q on Easter and really sleepy, I knew I needed something to wake me up. I turned on the radio and couldn't get reception for the Catholic station I had limited myself to for Lent. I turned the radio off. Then it occurred to me that Lent is Over! I turned on the radio again and rounded through stations to find something to listen to that would keep me awake.
2. Our old cats have required a lot of attention from our vet lately. My little fat cat Mr. Wu needed thyroid surgery and a couple of teeth pulled. The old cat Mr. D is 19. There is no cure for old age. He has needed various tests and courses of antibiotics. I am rather tired of spending all my time and money on these beasts.
But, despite my dire predictions, the old cat seems to be reviving somewhat.
3. I am turning 60 this year. I have decided that the in the summer of 2014 I want to go to the Holy Land. It is my goal. This summer I plan to go to Oklahoma for a few days with my sister. I would like to hit Virginia with my husband (to visit my uncle and brother who live out there). I will probably slide up to Chicago at least once to visit my little niece who is moving up there with her mom.
4. I went up to Q on Holy Saturday to stay with my mom. We went to St. Francis Solanus for Easter services. It was packed, as it always is for Easter. I believe there were people sitting on the stairs to the choir loft and up in the loft. I spent many an Easter at Mass in my childhood in those two spots.
5. I was off of school on Easter Monday with a lot of stuff to catch up on. Then the internet went down and I stomped around the house for a few minutes. I rebooted the computer and it came back up. I have a video teaching assignment due next Monday at school. I can't get it done. So far. I have discovered that my phone may be the best bet for a camera to load to You. tobe.
6. On Wednesday I stayed at school for the welcome to 6th grade event for the 5th graders who will join us next year. I was wiped by 9pm when I got home.
7. Thursday it was book club after school and then an evening home. Praise to the Lord!
