Ten years ago my youngest niece and God-daughter Hannah was born. Hannah is not her real name, but it is her name here on the blog. She is a delight. She is smart as a whip. Proof--she is bi-lingual in Russian and English and speaks a smattering of other languages as well. Her mother moved up north with her a couple of years ago and I haven't had much opportunity to see her. That feels sad to me because I had hoped to form a close relationship with her and that won't be happening.
But, I can do the essential task, I can pray. I pray for her. My prayers won't go unanswered or unheard. So, my new ten year old, Happy Birthday. You don't know it yet, but God has plans for you. A future full of hope.
