Traffic

I learned to drive out in the country.  I lived 12 or so miles from "town" which is small town Quincy, IL.  Drivers ed was spent on country lanes and the hard road.  There wasn't much traffic where I learned to drive.

But pretty soon I learned to drive to town and even on interstate highways.  I considered myself a pretty experienced driver when I was able to drive up to Chicago to visit my friend.  I let her drive around Chicago, but I considered that I was a pretty good driver to fight the traffic and get up there.

Then I married a sailor.  We moved to Japan and I got a Japanese driver's license.  The traffic on Okinawa is beyond imagination.  And all the sign in Japanese and I didn't know my way around.  And we drove on the LEFT side of the road.  But, I managed.

After that, I could drive pretty much anywhere.  Orlando, FL, piece of cake.  Honolulu, HI was easy peasy lemon squeezy.  And St. Louis is not hard.  I once drove in Washington, DC and I will say that was the worst.  The worst! LA was pretty bad, but my hubs did most of the driving.

Traffic just requires patience, calm, and prayer.  I usually invite the guardian angels to help me find my way.
