Dear Lord,
Thank You for these tired old knees. Thank You for all the things I used to be able to do with them. The ache they feel at the present moment reminds me that there are things I won't be able to do in the future and I need to be thankful for the things I can still do. I thank You in this present moment.
Thank You, Lord, for this little light of mine. I am going to let it shine. Thank You for teaching me that when I find myself longing to do great things for You, it is mostly vanity that I imagine there are great things I could do. Help me to do my little part and help it to shine. And that is enough.
Help me to find the grace and courage to continue. Help me to grow in love.
Your beloved daughter,
Mary
