Enjoy the day! This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.....
Spring has crept in very slowly this year. I can't remember a year when it was April before I saw the Bradford pears blooming. Just the crocus are blooming and soon the daffodils will bloom and then spring will start in earnest.
But, today, this day, I head back to school after the spring break week off. It is hard to go back when the weather is just beginning to be tantalizing. It is hard to think that the book fair might still be sitting there waiting to be picked up.

But, I have been praying through something on my week off. I am once again called to be in the present and to rejoice in the day. I need to look for the treasures that come with the day. I need to see the almost blooming flowers and bare trees and rejoice in them, not imagine a tomorrow when they might please me more.
Today, this day, with all of its trials, with all of its troubles, with all of its imperfections, is not a bridge to some future better day, but a day itself to be rejoiced in. I need to praise God for this present day.
