The day before Lent. It seems like it is time to do something crazy and wild and maybe even a little regretful. But, not sin, never sin. I am not a drinker. I just don't like the taste or the effect. And over indulging in alcohol is sin. So, I would not advocate that. Still, the day before the start of Lent seems like a good time to kick up the heels or the toes and go a little crazy.
Every year I paint my toenails for summer. Sandals just look better with painted toes, in my opinion. I don't go for pedicures. I just slap a little polish on them. Over the years I have evolved from modest pink to silver to blood red to blue. Last year I did dark green and of course I still have some polish around.
I painted my toes green for the beginning of the physical therapy.
While not a sin, still a little crazy for a 60 year old librarian.

But, for Mardi Gras, I bought some purple polish and now my feet are celebrating.
