Jennifer Fulwiler hosts this bloggy carnival. Go visit the rest.
1. Saturday I spent the day at the Catholic Women for Christ Conference for the Archdiocese of St Louis. The main speaker was from Minnesota. I sure she enjoyed the relatively warmer weather we were having on the weekend. She spoke about the "new" evangelization. One of her many points that really struck me was that the key to evangelization is whether your life is attractive, whether you have joy.
I spent the afternoon at the conference in prayer ministry. Then I went to the concluding Mass. (Our Archbishop is also from MN, I wonder if we are being overrun by Minnesotans, before you know it they will be telling us to bring a hot dish.) At the sign of peace one of the Knights of Columbus who was there came up and shook my hand and asked me if I was the librarian at (name of my school). I was, and he was a parent at my school and involved in the PTA.
2. Sunday I went to Mass again with my hubby. We lunched at Culvers. I quilted in the afternoon. It was a restful day. I like those. It almost got up to 60 degrees, then a howling wind came in from the north and the temperatures dropped below freezing.
3. Monday I had physical therapy again. I like my therapist. She hasn't hurt me yet. I made the decision not to wear my leg brace. One of my exercises is to go up and down on my tiptoes. Maybe my ballerina hopes are not dashed yet (this is a joke because when I went to the foot doc last spring I couldn't go up on my toes and I kiddingly joked that my dreams of being a prima ballerina were dashed.) (I never ever had hopes of being any kind of ballerina, just to clarify.)
4. Tuesday I worked all day. Then I had 3 school meetings. I made it home in time to cook dinner. Then I went to a personal meeting. It was a 4 meeting day. I am not a fan of those.
5. Wednesday and Thursday I met with my book club to make up for canceling last week. I really like those kids and two nights of them, maybe I should rethink this. It was fun but exhausting to have two late nights and hit the door trying to think of something easy for supper. I have used up all my easy supper ideas.
6. I ordered almost $6000 worth of books on Wednesday. That is something I really like about my job, the new books. And they were approved by Thursday and I hope that they are on their way to me today. LOL
7. Last week I worked only one regular school day. This week I worked 5. Too many days! I continue to work on the physical therapy. It will need to be a lifestyle.
