Turn, Turn, Turn

Fall is hard on and approaching winter in the Lou. The temperatures will get colder from time to time and we will see some snow....But as soon as the rest of the leaves hit the streets and the fields, winter will be upon us.

I frequently comment that I live in the south, St. Louis is the South, well, at least a border state, but I was once lambasted in a comment that St. Louis was not the South, and I think the commenter made his own point and proved St. Louis is south-ish, if not the South. (How is that for a run on sentence?)

The truth about our weather is--sometimes we have hard winters and get snow, sometimes we have soft winters and see very little snow, and most times are in between.  We get excited about snow around here, it cancels things and stops things like it would not do in the north.  But, we don't get as excited as say, Alabama where they seem to go crazy if snow touches the border.

But, getting back to my point-- the leaves have largely finished turning and have almost completed falling. I give you the tree across the street.
It was just beginning to turn.
Then more of it turned orange.
Then it was completely orange.
And now it is bare.

And that is fall in St. Louis.  A Boring Post for Saturday.
