Jennifer Fulwiler hosts this carnival of blogs. I have been a participant for a long time. Go around and visit the rest.
1. I laid out a second quilt last weekend. I find having two to work on saves time and helps bridge the time when I finish one and need to begin another.

This one is very different than the other one which features cats.
2. I lectored last Sunday for the last time. I am taking a little break from reading at Mass. I seem to be getting on the schedule at times I didn't sign up for which causes stress. I also have more things involving my 92 year old Mom who lives 100 miles north of here. Sometimes the Mass schedule with lectoring has postponed my trips and I just don't need that stressor right now. I will miss the preparation and praying with the readings which speak just to me, but it is time.
3. I wrote about soup on Monday and had it for dinner that night. (I schedule ahead, so I didn't write it that day.) It was a case of life imitating art. Or reading the blog for a dinner idea. And I should have taken a picture so that I had soup. But, I didn't. Next time....maybe.
4. Some of my book club kiddos have turned on me and joined the film club that meets one of the nights we meet. I am sad, and yet happy not to have so many kids. I hope the film club does great things.
5. I had another example of lost and found this week. I was missing my pink leopard water cup. I always haul a couple of water containers to school because the drinking fountain is far away and it is hard to get out of the library to fill a container. I thought maybe I had dropped the pink cup in the parking lot loading my car. I walked the parking lot and checked lost and found looking for it.
Doing dishes this week it showed up. I was elated. My hubby admitted he had taken it to work. Sigh. I wish he had asked me. I prayed a lot to St. Anthony to help find it. Apparently, I should have prayed to St. Joseph.....
6. The water shut off to the shower broke on Thursday morning. We had to turn off all the water to house and hubby stayed home for the plumber. I keep wondering if there is some connection to the above problem.....
7. And by next week's "7 Quick Takes" I will be 60. It doesn't seem possible.....
