Thankfulness Abounding

My Dear Lord,

Thank You for the vacation.  It was so much fun. You kept us safe and met us in the churches and with the family.

Thank You for the summer.  It was surprisingly mild.  You keep us guessing.  Thanks for the opportunities to attend daily Mass this summer.

Thank You for the chance to lead the Area Wide Prayer Meeting and for Father Horn's fabulous message.  I am still digesting it.

Thank You for all the babies who are coming later this year and early in the next one.  You must have chuckled when I told You that I was done quilting for a while, that all the babies I knew about had already come. You knew something I didn't know.

Thank You for the struggles I have with my weight and my hair and my advancing age.  It is in the struggles that I have a chance to grow closer to You and find greater joy.

Thank You, Lord, for all of those gifts and the ones I forgot to mention and the ones I haven't figured out yet.
