When I arrive at their house in the morning I am always greeted by my grandson who shouts "Grandma's here!" I know that I am welcomed. Recently, Miss Ellie who doesn't say too much unless it is "Cheez" or "Dada" lets me know what she wants. Grandson will say, "Go outside" or "Go for a walk." But then he will continue playing with his trucks and ignore my requests for him to get dressed and put on his shoes.
Miss Ellie is a different ball of wax. She doesn't say, "Go outside." She is a woman of action. She brings me her shoes. If I don't immediately put them on her, she brings me another pair. If I am not fast enough with that, she brings me my shoes. And in another twist the other day, she tried to put my shoes on my feet. She is a woman of action. She doesn't mess around. I like that in a grandchild. Now, how do we get her brother to do that?
