My granddaughter, El, is becoming quite a little person. She communicates and responds a lot more than her brother did at that age. She has demands. She throws mini temper tantrums when she isn't getting her way. One of the words she uses most often is "Cheez." She loves cheese and she tries to encourage me to give her some whenever possible.
El is not a picky eater. She seems to like most foods and likes to eat. She is long and fairly lean, so it isn't a worry. So far I have discovered that she doesn't like zucchini and avocado. She loves green beans and chicken. Mac and cheese is her favorite lunch.
El used to be notorious for picking up anything she found on the floor and putting it into her mouth. She is getting better in that regard. Now she hands things to me--little scraps of paper, a thread, an old green bean, You name it, I have been handed it.
She likes my lunch bag and will carry it to me even though it is heavy for her. She wants me to give her something, anything, from my bag. Apparently grandma's shared treats are better than anything she is offered from her own house.
