My youngest niece and Goddaughter is a sophomore in high school this year. I believe that today is her 16th birthday. Today is also the birthday of Dr. Seuss. A while back it was picked as a day to celebrate reading. Read Across America day. So, happy birthday, Hannah and Dr. Seuss.
I plan to have a little party with the grandchildren and read a lot of books. Perhaps I will recite The Sneetches by Dr. Seuss from memory. It is one of my parlor tricks. Dr. Seuss surely did help a lot of people learn to read.
